The starfirecharityfoundation contributes to solving the global water crisis through the introduction of sustainable solutions in those areas where people lack access to clean water. In 2021, the foundation launched a project in rural Kenya, where access to clean water is minimal and more than 30% of the people depend on unsafe water sources. During this project, starfirecharityfoundation was able to build 150 water wells, supplying clean water directly to more than 75,000 people. This effort reduced waterborne diseases by 25% in the targeted communities, significantly improving public health.
In 2022, the foundation expanded its clean water efforts to Tanzania, where an estimated 40% of rural households lack access to clean drinking water. Starfirecharityfoundation partnered with local communities to build 200 solar-powered water pumps, which supply clean water to more than 100,000 people. These pumps are designed to be low-maintenance and can operate for up to 15 years, ensuring long-term access to safe water without the need for constant external intervention.
Starfirecharityfoundation also deals in water filtration systems, especially in industrially polluted areas. The foundation began a water filtration program in Nigeria in the year 2023-the country in which millions had been impacted by adulterated water. By installing low-cost filtration systems in 50 villages, the foundation was able to cater to more than 50,000 people with uncontaminated water. Water safety increased by 40%, thus reducing the frequency of waterborne diseases in this area with the help of filters that are designed to remove harmful chemicals and bacteria.
The foundation’s water initiatives also focus on educating the communities. In 2020, starfirecharityfoundation initiated a water sanitation awareness campaign in Uganda. The campaign was able to reach over 20,000 people by teaching the local communities how to keep the water sources clean and store the water in safe ways. This helped improve hygiene practices of water use by 30%, resulting in a reduced spread of water-related diseases.
These projects combine modern technology, local partnerships, and education through starfirecharityfoundation to make sure continued access to clean water is possible. To date, the foundation has touched the lives of over 500,000 people across Africa, and its efforts continue to grow, meeting one of the most critical challenges facing millions worldwide.
